I'll also try to get information through my local dealer, because without that information we're wasting our time. They ought to be answered on TC's website, but I'm not finding answers. These are questions I think all current owners will have. As much as I'd like to get rid of that cable coming out of the ICON, I have a feeling ICON would require auto batteries to run for any length of time. Wireless? I absolutely do not give a hoot. If it supports networking in some useful way, without purchase of optional software, I'd like to know. Is ANYTHING about this changed? I'd like to believe software updates can now be done over the web somehow, without information I am less than trusting. The floppy drive is used for software updates. The current way to do that is memory sticks. Rich made a point that about saving and exchanging presets between systems. Is the new ICON any different than the old one? Does the new controller improve the horrible responsiveness?Īs to the actual audio processing, is there ANYTHING DIFFERENT? Is there extra capability that will be available to new software?
The interface between ICON and the controller's embedded Windows NT is not snappy.
